Exploring Better Ways to Handle Drawing Revisions in Aerospace Manufacturing

We're working on ways to make it easier for AS9100-certified and aerospace-focused machine shops to manage drawing revisions, partial FAIs, and Form-3 updates when engineering changes (ECOs) arrive.

Across shops, the day-to-day challenges are often similar:

• comparing two drawing PDFs to confirm what changed
• keeping balloon numbers stable from one revision to the next
• updating Form-3 rows for partial FAIs
• matching the real drawing deltas when ECO notes are incomplete

Our focus is understanding these workflows clearly and learning from the people who deal with revisions and inspection documentation every day.
